Well, as you can see, I haven't been very regular with my blogging efforts. It's not for lack of material, as our house is busy as ever. I think I'm going to take my friend Janet's approach to blogging. Maybe if I just spend ten minutes a day journaling about our day, it won't seem to be such a big task.
Eli's enjoying his job in KC, but isn't wild about the commute back and forth each week. We spent last weekend in KC visiting our friends and taking an introductory tour of the area with our realtor. Our friends graciously took our kids for several hours on Saturday so we could look at some houses. We're not ready to buy yet, but it was fun to see a sampling of houses in different areas. (In case anyone is looking for a house with creepy secret passages and a observatory complete with a telescope in a hidden room, we found your dream home!) While we were looking around in KC, our realtor back in Arkansas was trying to peddle our house at an Open House on Sunday. We had a few visitors who seemed as if they enjoyed the house, so we'll see if anything develops from here.
I've officially decided that selling a house is a different ballgame when it involves two small children! Before the kids were born or even when E was a baby, it was easy to just pack up and move. Now? Not so much. It's hard to keep the house clean every day, all day. To be honest, I'm not very good at it. It's hard to live with a 4 & 6 year old without making a mess. I even packed up half of the kids' toys just to reduce the clutter, but it's still a neverending battle to keep it tidy all the time.
